Management of The Trust

The Trust is managed by a Board of Directors, the composition of which was specified in the planning agreement and the Articles of Association of The Trust (which form part of that agreement).

 

Currently, one of the directors is appointed by South Kesteven District Council, and another by Bourne Town Council.  The remaining directors are appointed by the developer (Kier Homes).

 

The directors appointed by the developer live on Elsea Park, and are known as Resident Directors.  There are currently four Resident Directors, one of whom chairs the board .

 

All Resident Directors are unpaid volunteers, who have responded to occasional trawls for new board members.

 

The Articles of Association specify that at a given time, the developer  will relinquish control of the board; at that time, every Resident Director will be obliged  to resign from the board (though, if they so wish, they may put themselves forward for re-election).  

 

When the developer relinquishes control of the board, their representative will resign from the board, but will not be replaced.

 

A new board will then be elected by the members (with the exception of the two council appointed directors,  who will continue to serve).
